Protect Yourself from Aspergillosis on World Aspergillosis Day

World Aspergillosis Day- February 01

Every year on this day, World Aspergillosis Day aims to raise awareness about this under-diagnosed fungal infection, a group of fungal infections caused by Aspergillus fungi.
When a person gets sick from Aspergillus spores, the symptoms are similar to asthma and respiratory infections. For this reason, doctors have a hard time diagnosing Aspergillosis.

There are several precautions that can be taken to reduce the risk of developing aspergillosis:

1. Strengthening the immune system: This can be done by eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and avoiding exposure to environmental toxins.
3. Taking antibiotics: People with weakened immune systems who have a higher risk of developing aspergillosis may need to take antibiotics to prevent or treat the infection.
